- An outdoor amphitheater has always been a part of the fairgrounds’ plans
One purpose of the fairgrounds is to provide for "performing arts functions, including concerts, band concerts, marching bands, fiddler’s competitions, etc"
Britt Involvement
- Britt has formed a partnership with the Fair Board to be a major user/promoter for concerts in the amphitheater
- Allows Britt to bring the bigger entertainment acts without 2-night bookings
- The Britt maximum capacity in two nights is 4,400 compared to 5,800 in one night at the amphitheater
